There’s a hard truth people don’t talk about enough:
Hiring a coach doesn’t guarantee results.
You’re not outsourcing the effort.
You’re not buying motivation.
You’re not paying someone to do the reps, prep your meals, or get you out the door when it’s pouring rain.
You’re hiring someone to guide you—to show you the most effective path, to hold you accountable, to support you through the hard bits.
But you still have to walk that path.
You still have to show up, even when you don’t feel like it.
You still need to track your food, even when it’s inconvenient.
You still need to get up off your ass and go for that walk.
You still need to train with intent—not just go through the motions.
And the part people often ignore?
You still need to communicate.
That means responding to your check-ins.
That means being honest when things go sideways.
That means not ghosting your coach for two weeks and expecting progress to magically happen.
I see it far too often.
People sign up for coaching, get the programs, the tools, the systems—and then disappear.
Or they respond to check-ins with “good” and expect deep insight in return.
No context.
No effort.
No detail.
I can’t coach silence.
When you don’t share what’s going on—what’s working, what’s not, where you’re struggling—you’re taking away the only leverage I have to help you.
Coaching works when you do.
It’s a two-way relationship.
When you bring effort, honesty, and consistency, that’s when the magic happens.
So before you spend your money, before you sign up for that next program, ask yourself:
Am I ready to actually do the work?
Am I ready to stop looking for shortcuts?
Am I ready to show up and be coached properly?
Because if the answer is yes—then coaching can change your life.
But if you’re expecting the results to come just because you signed up, you’ll be disappointed.
This process doesn’t reward half-effort.
It rewards consistency.
Communication.
Action.
Hiring a coach doesn’t mean the work is done.
It just means you’ve committed to stop doing it alone.
Now it’s time to prove it.
If you’re ready to work with a coach who will guide you, challenge you, and actually listen—book a call with me or one of our coaches at www.masterathletic.com. Let’s talk about what real progress looks like—for you.
