Let’s talk about the phase no one gets excited about: maintenance.
It doesn’t get the hype of a cut.
It doesn’t feel as “productive” as a bulk.
And if we’re being honest... it kind of feels like a holding pattern.
But here’s the truth: Maintenance is where the magic happens, and it might be the most productive phase you're avoiding if you know how to use it.
This is the phase where your body stabilizes.
Where your hormones, digestion, training recovery, and energy get a chance to catch up.
It’s where your muscle tissue actually sticks and your habits become automatic.
And here’s the kicker: if you’re always trying to cut but never commit to maintaining, you’re probably losing and regaining the same 5–10 lbs over and over… without ever feeling better in your body.
So if you’re in a phase where you're not actively cutting or building, that's good. Now’s the time to master consistency, lock in strength gains, and feel in control of your food without feeling like you’re in a constant state of pursuit.
Maintenance isn’t a pause — it’s a skill. One that most people skip… and keep paying for later.
